Effective Date: 16 September 2026
At Majestic Bouquets (Pty) Ltd, we carefully prepare each order according to the details and preferences provided by our customers. As our products include fresh flowers, personalised gifts, custom arrangements and event services, our cancellation and refund terms depend on the nature of the order and whether costs have already been incurred.
1. Fresh Flowers and Floral Arrangements
Due to the perishable nature of fresh flowers, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been delivered or accepted by the customer.
Flowers are natural products and may vary in colour, size, shape, texture and availability. These natural variations are not considered defects.
If an arrangement arrives damaged or materially different from what was agreed, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assess the matter and determine an appropriate remedy.
2. Floral Substitutions
Flower availability can change depending on season, supplier availability and market conditions.
Where a particular flower is unavailable, Majestic Bouquets may substitute it with another flower of a similar nature, quality and value while maintaining the intended colour palette, style and overall aesthetic of the arrangement.
Where a significant substitution is required, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer where possible.
3. Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or there is an error attributable to Majestic Bouquets, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery.
We may request:
• Your order details
• A description of the issue
• Photographs of the flowers or products received
• Any other information reasonably required to assess the matter
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a replacement, partial refund or full refund where appropriate.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Customers are encouraged to cancel orders as early as possible.
The amount refundable will depend on whether Majestic Bouquets has already purchased or committed to flowers, materials, gifts, packaging, décor, services or other stock specifically for the customer’s order.
If no costs have been incurred and no purchases or commitments have been made specifically for the order, the customer may qualify for a full refund.
Where costs have already been incurred, those actual costs may be deducted from the amount paid. The remaining balance will then be refunded to the customer.
For example, if a customer has paid R2,000 and Majestic Bouquets has already incurred R700 in costs specifically for that order, R700 may be deducted and the remaining R1,300 refunded.
Where the full amount paid has already been used or committed towards the order, there may be no amount remaining to refund.
5. Personalised and Custom Orders
Personalised and custom orders may involve purchasing specific materials, gifts, packaging or other items based on the customer’s requirements.
If a cancellation is made after these items have been purchased or preparation has begun specifically for the customer, the actual costs already incurred may be deducted from the amount paid.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that information supplied for personalised products, including names, dates, messages and other details, is accurate before the order is confirmed.
6. Event Cancellations and Refunds
A 50% booking fee is required to secure an event date.
Customers are encouraged to cancel an event booking as early as possible.
If an event is cancelled before Majestic Bouquets has purchased flowers, décor, personalised items, equipment or other materials specifically for the event, and no other non-refundable costs have been incurred, the customer may qualify for a full refund.
Where Majestic Bouquets has already incurred costs specifically for the event, the actual costs incurred may be deducted from the amount paid. The remaining balance will be refunded.
Costs may include flowers, décor, personalised items, hired equipment, event materials, services or other items specifically purchased or committed to for the event.
For example, if R10,000 has been paid towards an event and R3,500 has already been incurred for items specifically purchased or committed to for that event, the remaining R6,500 may be refunded.
The earlier an event is cancelled, the greater the possibility of receiving a full or higher refund, particularly where purchases and other costs have not yet been incurred.
7. Event Postponements
Customers who need to postpone an event should contact Majestic Bouquets as early as possible.
A postponement may be accommodated depending on our availability and the new event date.
Where costs have already been incurred for the original event date, these costs may be deducted or, where appropriate, transferred towards the postponed event by agreement between the customer and Majestic Bouquets.
8. Delivery Issues
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information, including the recipient’s name, address and contact details.
Majestic Bouquets is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from:
• Incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer
• The recipient being unavailable to receive the order
• The recipient refusing the order
• Circumstances outside our reasonable control
• Delays caused by third party delivery services
Where a further delivery attempt is required due to information supplied incorrectly or the recipient being unavailable, an additional delivery charge may apply.
9. Flower Cart Hire
Flower Cart Hire bookings are subject to the payment terms agreed at the time of booking.
If a Flower Cart Hire booking is cancelled before flowers or other materials specifically required for the booking have been purchased or any other non-refundable costs have been incurred, the customer may qualify for a full refund.
Where Majestic Bouquets has already purchased flowers, materials or other items specifically for the booking, the actual costs incurred may be deducted from the amount paid. The remaining balance will be refunded.
To maximise the possibility of receiving a full refund, cancellations should be made as early as possible.
10. Flower Subscriptions
Customers who wish to cancel or change a flower subscription should contact Majestic Bouquets as early as possible.
Where flowers or other materials have already been purchased or prepared specifically for an upcoming delivery, the actual costs incurred may be deducted from any refundable amount.
Future deliveries that have not yet been prepared or incurred costs may be cancelled in accordance with the applicable subscription terms.
11. Change of Mind
Due to the nature of our products and services, we generally cannot accept returns or provide refunds simply because a customer has changed their mind after a fresh, personalised or custom order has been prepared.
This does not affect any rights a customer may have under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
12. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Returns & Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any rights that customers may have under applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
Where a customer’s legal rights provide for a remedy, those rights will continue to apply.
13. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To request a cancellation or refund, please contact Majestic Bouquets and provide:
• Your name
• Order or booking details
• The date of the order or booking
• The reason for cancellation, where applicable
Majestic Bouquets will assess the stage of the order or booking and determine what costs, if any, have already been incurred specifically for that order or booking.
Where a refund is applicable, the refundable amount will be communicated to the customer.
